Update From The Washington Health Foundation

To Our Valued Clients

I want to thank you for allowing the Washington Health Foundation to serve you as your broker of record on your health insurance policy. The state-mandated commissions from your policy are used to support our work to make Washington the healthiest state in the nation in numerous ways, and we are grateful!

While our goal remains the same, our approach is changing. Despite the incredible efforts of our staff and your incredible support for our mission – the economic downturn is such that we are beginning to work within the Foundation in a different way.  As of February 1st, although the xChange remains in place and the same team members will be available to work with your account, much of the rest of the Foundation will move to a limited set of activities while we evaluate next steps. It is important to note that this is NOT the end of the Washington Health Foundation.  It is, instead, a new beginning.

We are thrilled to continue to serve as your Personal Health Advocates, and are available to answer any questions or address concerns you may have regarding the Foundation, its ongoing work, and any of your insurance needs. I want to reiterate that these internal Health Foundation changes will not affect your policy, your premium amount, or our role as your advocate in the confusing world of health and health care.

We look forward to working with you in 2012.

Be well,

James Whitfield
Vice President/Washington Health Foundation
